Player Name: Aisu

Other Characters Currently In-Game: Dennis Collins, Joel Miller

Character Name: Alucard / Adrian Fahrenheit Țepeș
Series: Castlevania video games
Age: 300+ years
From When?: From the Bad Ending of Symphony of Night.
This means specifically that Alucard entered the castle, confronted Richter Belmont as the master of the castle, and killed Richter without discovering any other mysteries of the castle. Normally Alucard would escape the castle before it's demise, but for the purposes of bringing him in as an inmate he will not make it out and die as the castle self-destructs.

Inmate Justification: Alucard has spent centuries hiding from the world, submerging his powers to keep the dark arts dormant. However, all he has really accomplished is to isolate himself and sleep away the years while the world continues to live through perils time and time again. While he does awaken when things seem strange, when he goes to investigate he does so poorly and with little care. This impassive distance from the world causes him to make mistakes, miss important details, and does more harm than the good he is capable of doing. He kills Richter Belmont, the last of the family's line, and while the world is safe temporarily Alucard's actions have also put it in future peril without either himself or a Belmont to protect it. Ultimately, his reason for being on the Barge is due to the harm he has caused himself and the people around him by his carelessness. Working with people can open him back up and remind him why he awoke in the first place: to do good and protect those around him and fight off the darkness that constantly tries to take over the world.

Arrival: He agreed to come in despair and hope that he can right the wrongs he committed.

Abilities/Powers: For simplicity's sake I would like for him to come in with everything essentially nullified except his supernatural senses since those can't hurt anything. He can get things back however/whenever a warden feels the need to bring it up.

⚔ Supernatural Senses: Alucard has enhanced senses from his vampiric heritage. He has keen eyesight, hearing, and smell. He can also detect magic.
⚔ Supernatural Speed and Strength: He also has uncanny speed and strength from his vampiric heritage, far above that of an athletic human and even most vampires.
⚔ Shapeshifting: Alucard can change into a wolf, a bat, and mist form. Each come with their own unique uses and abilities.
⚔ Rapid Healing: Alucard heals quickly and without scarring. This comes naturally, but it can also be enhanced with alchemical potions, magic spells, and blood consumption to heal even more rapidly.
⚔ Dark Magic: Trained by his father in the dark arts, Alucard can cast magic spells. His most well-known spells are Dark Metamorphosis (heal by shedding the blood of enemies), Hellfire/Dark Inferno (shoot fireballs/meteors), Summon Spirit/Tetra Spirit (summon vengeful spirits), and Soul Steal (steal life from nearby enemies). He is capable of Teleporting as well and often does so in conjecture with certain attacks. He can also use magic to alter his physical appearance to disguise himself.
⚔ Summoning: With the correct items, Alucard can summon special creatures and semi-sentient objects to aid him in battle.
⚔ Trained Soldier: Alucard was trained by his father to fight in his army of darkness. Besides the dark magic, Alucard also has extensive training in melee combat with a variety of weapons. He excels at swordsmanship, but can also wield other well-known melee weapons from his time period(s). He can take advantage of magical weapons to their fullest extent as well.
⚔ Ancient Knowledge: Alucard was taught many of his father's secrets and sciences. He has a vast well of knowledge. This includes arcane and alchemy, science and history, occult and supernatural, and more.

Inmate Information:
Notable History In a Nutshell:
-Born in the 1400s to a human mother (Lisa) and vampire father (Dracula). Named Adrian Fahrenheit Țepeș.
-Grew up with a loving mother and a father that taught him all he knew. His childhood, at least, was good.
-Then his mother was burned as a witch. Her last words were burned into his memory and his heart.
-After which his father went insane and vowed to kill the human race.
-Defied his father's vow to kill all humans and tried to stop him. Failed upon first attempt.
-He renamed himself Alucard to impart that he was the opposite of his father in all things.
-Waited for a strong vampire hunter to appear and challenged him (Trevor Belmont) to a duel.
-Decided this hunter was strong enough and joined him and his companions to defeat Dracula.
-Feeling guilty about the part he played in the death of his own father and wishing to disappear, he submerged his dark powers by going to sleep for centuries.
-Awoke in the late 1700s when the demon castle of his father returned and he could sense no Belmont to fight against it.
-Went to the demon castle to investigate.
-Discovered the current Belmont (Richter) had summoned the castle and declared himself the master of the castle.
-Fought and killed the crazed hunter to put an end to the rising evil from the demon castle's presence and prevent Dracula from being resurrected.
-Died as the castle self-destructed around him.

Alucard's crimes are locking himself away for centuries and failing to properly invest time and care into investigating the return of the demon castle and killing Richter Belmont. Though Alucard convinced himself that locking himself into slumber was for the best because of his dark heritage and power, what he essentially did was alienate himself to the detriment of himself and the people of the world. Alucard could have remained a steady guardian alongside the Belmonts over the centuries, helped the people of the world by hunting evil creatures or teaching them the sciences of his father's ancient knowledge. Instead, he chose to hide away and take no action. When he did awake to a world in need, he did not take enough care to solve the problem accurately. This is both a self-perceived crime and a real one as the truth was that he could have saved Richter and defeated true evil. But instead he treated Maria callously and did not take heed to investigate the castle properly, did not save Richter Belmont from his unfortunate fate, and allowed his lack of judgement to doom future generations. He also essentially committed suicide by not hastening out of the castle as it self-destructed around him.

Alucard is an aloof person. He does not spend much time with others, especially after the death of his mother. When he joins Trevor it is a means to an end, and after the group defeats his father Alucard does not say a word he simply disappears. He turns his back on the world and submerges himself into a deep sleep for centuries. While Alucard has a vast knowledge of various subjects, he is very disconnected from the world itself. Alucard speaks little in most conversations. He's typically quiet and calm until caught in battle. His manners need a little work although sometimes he remembers them and puts in the effort to use them properly. Mostly this means he's blunt and, again, speaks very little especially to newly met strangers. When he does open up he is still quiet but subtly shows other aspects of a living being. Despite or because of his aloof nature Alucard still exudes a calm strength and confidence in his body language and demeanor. Nothing frightens him, not even Death itself, and very little surprises him beyond a mild inconvenience. Inwardly, however, he is full of guilt for the death of his father and more recently the death of the last Belmont. This will be part of what needs to be addressed here for redemption.

Path to Redemption:
What does your character need to change about themselves, and what sorts of milestones do you envision them needing to reach before they're ready for graduation? Alucard needs to get over his guilt, remember his mother's words, learn to be more open and allow for attachments to other people, follow the goodness in his heart, and be a protector with something to fight for. Interacting with people on a daily basis and not sleeping away the years will be the first start to achieving his redemption. He will learn about people and form attachments naturally as the days pass with people around him. Getting over his guilt for killing his father and Richter Belmont will take time to process and perhaps a friendly ear to talk to and compassion from others to help him. Seeing compassion and getting encouragement from others will remind him of his mother and the goodness she imparted on him. With that in mind, he should begin to want to be good and protect others. Once he reaches that point he will be ready for graduation.

How will they react to being on the Barge? Alucard will take it in stride. Not much phases him in a noticeable fashion and this will be no different. Since he's coming of his own free will, too, he will act naturally and roll with the punches as he learns more about the place. He will actively work towards graduation, or at the least be ready and willing since he wants it but isn't sure that he deserves it.

How will they react to being wardened? What sorts of wardening styles would they be likely to respond best to, and conversely, what wardening styles would likely be ineffective or unhelpful? Alucard wants this in his deepest of heart of hearts. He's not so sure he deserves redemption, but he wants to correct his mistakes and find a way to do good. He will not take unkindly to being wardened except under horrible circumstances. Mostly, he is ready and willing to listen. It might just not be obvious as he might react quietly and with doubt at first before the fact that he's observing sets in. Alucard will probably respond well to most well-meaning guidance. Even a moderate amount of sarcasm probably won't deter him so much as motivate him to react in kind, but too much condescending remarks will be met with a damaged ego fighting back. A gentler soul will probably have more luck getting to him than a strict or tough-love act, but confidence and strength are still required as well as a bit of patience for his seemingly impassive nature. Basically, Alucard needs someone that will talk to him as well as listen to him when he does actually speak and sympathize and have some wisdom to impart. He'll get there eventually with a little help on the side. The most unhelpful thing would be someone that will berate his poor choices without at least then encouraging him that he can do better or someone who has skewed morals that go against his underlying good nature. Aka he probably won't have many problems with most wardens here lol.

What methods can a warden use to get through to them, and what are some ideas for things that might trigger or motivate them to change? It shouldn't be a hard or long run to his redemption, but it is a necessary evolution to get him back to what he could truly be. Alucard already has a courageous and good soul, he simply needs to be encouraged to let it bloom. Regular interaction will be good for him as well as talking to him, reminding him of his good deeds in the past, encouraging further good deeds in the future. His biggest motivation will be that if he can graduate then he can stick around for a deal of his own and in such a way right some of his wrongs with that help. During times of crisis on the ship a firm direction to aid others will cause him to act rather than doubt and that will undoubtedly help. Basically, patience and encouragement are needed more than methods or motivation and he will eventually be triggered by events that make him want to do good. He needs a really good friend, or a therapist.

Sample Network Entry:
[Alucard took a moment to settle the camera on his features and frowned slightly, then switched to audio only to actually complete his network post.]

I've been here long enough to understand that the recent events were caused by what people refer to as a 'breach'... but is everyone truly convinced that the phenomenon is not actually a powerful form of illusion or charm magic? I've known some succubus and other dreamwalkers to create elaborate worlds to ensnare their prey.

If they occur so often, is it not possible they are created and maintained by the Admiral? They may serve some purpose.

[He sounded almost hopeful that they were not for some evil purpose, but he can't be sure and his tone was sometimes hard to distinguish for anyone who didn't know him. He often came off as impassive to the world around him.]

Though I will admit it was very disorientating to return from the illusion and I have not had good luck with such things in the past. 'Twould be better, perhaps, with a proper warning or clear purpose in mind. Though I know not what.
